Jesus Is The Sweetest Name I Know

Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

The name of Jesus brings:


Help to the helpless, —  peace to the tormented,  —  rest to the restless,  —  hope to the hopeless, and  —  comfort to the comfortless.  


This name has cooled the fevered brow, —  broken the chains of sin, —  delivered the captive, and  —  thrilled the saint.  


Jesus is The Sweetest Name I Know

There have been names that I have loved to hear,   —   But never has there been a name so dear   —   To this heart of mine, as the name divine,   —   The precious, precious name of Jesus.


Chorus:

Jesus is the sweetest name I know, —  And He’s just the same as His lovely name, — And that’s the reason why I love Him so; —  Oh, Jesus is the sweetest name I know.

The Unclouded Day

Revelation 22:2,5  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 

[5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.


This is the place that Jesus went to prepare [John 14:2]. 


The Bible gives us a description that boggles the mind and goes far beyond anything that we as humans can imagine. 


This is a glimpse of the believer’s new home.

I Must Tell Jesus

 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

When we are burdened it touches the heart of God, and He is moved on our behalf.

Joy Unspeakable

1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Have we weathered the storms of life and seen God come through time and again?


If so, this ought to cause us to rejoice with that unspeakable joy and full of glory.

It Is Well With My Soul

Psalm 55:18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

The fact is, no one can run from problems. We must face them with the help of the Lord.


As we commune with our blessed Redeemer, we can be peacefully assured that all is well with our soul no matter what happens.

Because He Lives

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

In a world of turmoil we can lean on God-given Heavenly peace.


We can trust Him to take care of His own - Phil. 4:6-7; Isa. 26:3.


Because He lives we can face tomorrow.

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus;    —    He came to love, heal and forgive; — He lived and died to buy my pardon, — An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Face to Face

 Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;


Our blessed hope as believers separates us from the rest of the world.


We are looking for Christ because scripture tells us that He is coming for us — 1Thes 4:13-18. 


Some day we will see Him face to face. What a day that will be!

Face to face with Christ my Savior,   —   Face to face what will it be    —   When with rapture I behold Him,  —  Jesus Christ who died for me?
