The Spirit Of Christ

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
The Holy Spirit led Philip to the Ehthiopian eunuch in the desert (Acts 8:29), He sent Peter to preach the Gospel to Cornelius, a Gentile (Acts 10:19-20), and Paul to take the Gospel to Macedonia (Acts 16:7).
We should seek the leadership of the Holy Spirit. His still small voice will fill our hearts with peace when the path is right. It will withhold it when the path is wrong.
The Holy Spirit leads us through prayers, Bible Study, teaching and preaching, circumstances and experiences. He won't lead contrary to the Word of God. He reveals the fruit of the Spirit and portrays the character of Christ.

The Best Witnessing Tool

The best witnessing tool for believers is telling what Jesus has done in our lives. The Holy Spirit gives us the right words as He gouges the lost person's heart.
1 Peter 3:15  But sanctify The Lord God in your hearts; and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear;
The Gospel Message is powerful and precious. Jesus loves man and died to save him. He arose from the dead to offer justification and eternal to all who believe in Him.
We need The Lord to break our hearts over the condition of the lost.
We are called to take His light to a world where wrong is right
What could be too great a cost for sharing life with one who's lost?
Through His love our hearts can feel all the grief they bear
They must hear the words of life only we can share
People need The Lord . . . .

Hope For The Future

An optimist will see the future as opportunities, challenges and victories. A pessimist will see sickness, death, valleys and loneliness.
If we could control the future with shrewd life-blueprints, we wouldn't need God. But we do need God. Though we must make plans, include God in them. We need to come to the place where Jesus said, "Not my will, but thine be done (Luke 22:42).
With this in mind, we can have confidence that God is in control of every area of our lives and whatever comes our way. He allows it and controls it. For the Redeemed of Christ, our future is bright. Rejoice!
Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

A Pilgrim's Journey

Our "Pilgrim Journey" began the moment we received Jesus as Lord and Savior. We'll be pilgrims until we step out of this life and into eternity.
Along the journey there are dangers lurking and thieves who would rob us of peace, joy, and victory. There are sins that would quench the fire of God in our souls. There are problems that would strip us of the glory and power of God.
Who's going to help us?
Psalm 121:2  My help cometh from The Lord, which made heaven and earth.
THE LORD-- The self-existent, eternal, unchanging God Who is over all, controls all, and is all in all. The God Who keeps His promises qualifies to help us.
THE LORD, in the Person of the Holy Spirit, comforts us, carries us when we stumble, and assists us along the path.
THE LORD puts a song in our hearts and a smile on our face if we let Him.

Increase My Faith

Faith is to a Christian what a foundation is to a house. It gives confidence and assurance that we will stand.
True Bible faith operates quite simply. God speaks and we hear His Word. We trust His Word and act on it no matter what the circumstances are or what the consequences may be.
The circumstances may be impossible and the consequences frightening and unknown; but we obey God's Word just the same. We believe Him to do what is right and what is best. That's faith.
Hebrews 11:2 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith:

There's Nobody Like Him

Sailors and merchants who passed through Sheba (Yemen) told of the greatness of King Solomon. "There's nobody like him," they said. The Queen of Sheba traveled 1,200 miles to meet him. Many years later Jesus told the Pharisees, "A greater than Solomon is here."
There's nobody like Jesus. He can meet every physical, material or spiritual need. He has power to move your mountain, quench your thirst, and save your soul.
He's the answer to all the riddles, problems and questions of life. He can bring you into the presence of the God of eternity.
To all who believe, Jesus is their Redeemer.
1 Peter 1:18,19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things . . . . But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

The Mind Of God

My Mama called me her little Missourian. She said of all her twelve children, I was the one who repeatedly asked "why". Raised in the "Show Me" State, I'm still inquisitive.
I want to know how God thinks.
Romans 11:33,34 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past finding out. For who hath known the mind of The Lord? . . . .
The answer is that no one knows  the depth of His ways. The Old Testament reveals His passionate love, mercy, and judgement for Isreal. The New Testament displays Jesus obeying the will of His Father all the way to the cruel cross of Calvary. Redemption for the sins of mankind is unsearchable love.
I may not know the depth of His ways, but I know He knows me and loves me. Why does he love some one so undeserving as me? Why?
