Showers Of Blessings

Time and again Almighty God demonstrated His power in the midst of Israel.

Imagine seeing Him part the Red Sea and seeing Manna feeding from heaven every day for 40 years.
Imagine seeing God defeat all your enemies.
Imagine the thrill of seeing His glory as He comes down upon the Tabernacle.
Imagine being led across the desert by a pillar of cloud and of fire.

The Lord has not changed. He is still all powerful and He shall remain so until the end of eternity. He is still coming through for His people.

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

How many times has God moved in response to your cries of faith? Has showers of God's blessings graced your life? Praise Him.

Victory

Believers are born of God. They have His divine nature within them.

1 John 5:4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

The more you love the Lord, the easier it is to have faith in Him.

Because we are born of God we are overcomers. We claim victory by His power.

Things may look bad in this world, but our prospects are out of this world. Trust and obey

Grace And Glory

Along the way the Lord is ever with His children. Like the sun above, He lights our road, ever guiding us in the path of righteousness for His name sake. His warmth is comforting.

Grace and Glory is a two-fold promise -- His grace for the journey and His glory when we get home.

Help for today and hope for tomorrow – that’s what it is.  That’s comforting. God is simply getting us home safely.

He promises to bless our lives.  it’s simply a matter of learning to serve Him and trust Him.

Psalm 84:11  For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

The Wonders Of Heaven

The greatest glory of Heaven will not be golden streets, jasper walls, angelic hosts, crystal rivers, endless days or even seeing those who have gone on before.

The wonder I most anticipate is when I bow at the nail-riven feet of my Lord and thank Him for what He did for me at Calvary.

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The God Of Compassion

A glimpse inside Jesus reveals a heart of compassion.

Mark 8:2-3   I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.

This multitude satisfied their hunger pangs that day because Jesus cared for them. Blessing a hand full of bread and fish, He multiplied it right in His hands as the apostles filled baskets and distributed food to four thousand people.

What a miracle! I like to think the leftovers went home with those from afar.

Do you have a need? Get it into the hands of our compassionate Lord. We serve a God who still hears and cares and miraculously answers prayers.

I Know Whom I Have Believed

Suffering for his ministry, Paul was in prison because he had faithfully served the Lord.

2 Timothy 1:11-12  Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Paul committed his soul, his sacrifices, and his service to Christ. He wasn’t ashamed because he knew that God won’t lose a single soul committed to Him or forget our sacrifices for His sake.

The Lord chooses when, where and how we are to serve Him. As believers, we are to be available, willing, yielded, usable and faithful.

O My Soul

It’s interesting how the Psalmist confronts his sad soul. "Since God is in control of this thing, why are you so upset?" Then he offers the only prescription it needs for joy.

"Hope in God! He has it all under control!"

Psalm 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

We might want to ask our souls the same question. You see, there’s no room for overwhelming sadness and fear in the heart of a believer. Give it to God. He’ll put a smile on your face.
