No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

Christ's followers have a good reason to endure tough times. The Lord has assured us in His Word that better times are ahead.

1 Peter 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

If we will humble (surrender} our will and our worries to the Lord; in His own will and time we will see Him answer.

By strengthening our walk with God through Bible study and prayer, we will see the work of God.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus.

“I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,   —   Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true.   —   I would tell you how He changed my life completely;   —   He did something no other friend could do.

Chorus:
“No one ever cared for me like Jesus;   —  There's no other friend so kind as He.   —   No one else could take the sin And darkness from me;   —   O how much He cared for me.

“Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance;   —   More and more I understand His word of love.   —   But I'll never know just why He came to save me,   —   Till someday I see His blessed face above.”

Sweet By And By

When I think of Heaven, I like two verses best of all:

John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people — born again people!

Jesus wanted His people to know He meant this thing, so He restated His intentions in the last chapter of the last book of the Bible.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

In the sweet by and by.

“There's a land that is fairer than day,   —   And by faith we can see it afar.   —   For the Father waits over the way   —   To prepare us a dwelling place there.

“In the sweet by and by —  We shall meet on that beautiful shore.   —   In the sweet by and by   —   We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
“We shall sing on that beautiful shore,   —   The melodious songs of the blest.   —   And our spirits shall sorrow no more,   —   Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

To our bountiful Father above,   —   We will offer our tribute of praise   —   For the glorious gift of His love   —
And the blessings that hallow our days.”

There Shall Be Showers Of Blessings

The Lord has given believers an incredible treasure of spiritual riches that are ours to draw from as we pass through this world.

Between the Corona Virus and thugs ravishing our country, we need showers of blessings.

Ezekiel 34:26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.

There shall be showers of blessings.

“There shall be showers of blessing:   —   This is the promise of love;   —   There shall be seasons refreshing,    —   Sent from the Savior above.

Chorus:
“Showers of blessing,   —   Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy drops 'round us are falling,    —   But for the showers we plead.

“There shall be showers of blessing,   —   Precious reviving again;    —   Over the hills and the valleys,    —   Sound of abundance of rain.

“There shall be showers of blessing:    —   Send them upon us, O Lord;   —   Grant to us now a refreshing;    —   Come and now honor Thy Word.

“There shall be showers of blessing,   —   Oh that today they might fall.   —   Now as to God we're confessing,   —   Now as on Jesus we call.” `

His Name Is Wonderful

There is nothing common about Jesus, He is so far beyond our level of comprehension that we can never figure Him out, yet He can be known by a little child.

Isaiah 9:6  . . . . . . and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

He Loves us - Jer. 31:3; Rom. 8:38-39.

He supports us - Psalm 18:35; Deut 33:27.

He sustains us - 2 Tim. 1:12.

He comforts us - John 14:16-18.

He provides for us - Luke 12:32; Matt. 6:25-33; Phil. 4:19.

He is the creator and provider of peace. And, those who know Him know all about peace, John 14:27; John 16:33a; Phil. 4:7.

May we never forget Who Jesus is. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Has He been enthroned as Lord and King in your life?

His Name is Wonderful.

“He is the mighty King,   —   Master of everything.   —   His name is wonderful,   —   Jesus my Lord.

“He’s the great Shepherd,   —   The rock of all ages;  —  Almighty God is He.

“Bow down before Him.   —   Love and adore Him.   —   His name is wonderful,   —   Jesus my Lord.”

Give Them All To Jesus

Who is going to help you when the bottom falls out of life and you see nowhere to turn?

Who is going to help you when you don’t even know how to help yourself?

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Bring all your cares to Jesus and lay them at His feet.  Humble yourself and worship Him while you are there.

Give them all to Jesus.

“Are you tired of chasin’ pretty rainbows,   —   And are you tired of spinnin’ ‘round and ‘round?   —  Wrap up all the shattered dreams of your life   —   And at the feet of Jesus lay them down.

“Give them all,   —   give them all,   —   give them all to Jesus;   —   Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, and broken toys.   —   Give them all,   —  give them all.   —   give them all to Jesus;   —   And He will turn your sorrows into joy.

“He never said you'd only see sunshine.
And He never said there'd be no rain.
He only promised a heart full of singing,
About the very things that once brought pain.”

Bob Benson Sr and Phil Johnson

Just A Closer Walk With Thee

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Not a single saved person has the right to deny God the pleasure of our bodies sacrificed on His altar.

As we move through this life, God is in the business of maturing us. As we grow, His demands on our life change.

Through the experiences of life God grows us and matures us so that when His call comes and His will is revealed, we are equipped and ready for whatever He calls us to do.

Right now we’re pilgrims and a strangers, living on foreign soil. I need practical help for my day to day walk with God.

Just a closer walk with Thee.

“I am weak but Thou art strong;   —   Jesus keep me from all wrong.   —   I'll be satisfied as long   —   As I walk, let me walk close to thee.

Chorus:
“Just a closer walk with thee,   —   Grant it, jesus, is my plea.   —   Daily walking close to thee,   —   Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

“Thro’ this world of toil and snares,  —   If I falter, Lord, who cares?  —   Who with me my burden shares?  —   None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

“When my feeble life is o'er;   —   Time for me shall be no more.   —   Guide me gently, safely o'er   —   To Thy kingdom shore, to Thy shore.”

More About Jesus

Do we want more of Jesus in our lives?

If so, we are to live out our lives with genuine spiritual values, and not the values of a fallen world.

If we want more of Jesus, we are to live like Jesus lived, 1 John 2:6 — live out the fruit of the Spirit every day, Gal. 5:22-23.

As we give our attention to these spiritual, heavenly things, we are enabled to live a heavenly, holy, God-honoring life in this world.

From His place at the Father’s right hand, Jesus makes intercession for us, and He gives us all that we need to live for Him in this world,

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

“More about Jesus would I know,   —   More of His grace to others show;   —   More of His saving fullness see,   —   More of His love Who died for me.

Chorus
“More, more, more about Jesus,   —   More, more about Jesus;   —   More of His saving fullness see,   —   More of His love Who died for me.

“More about Jesus let me learn,   —   More of His holy will discern;   —   Spirit of God, my teacher be,   —   Showing the things of Christ to me.

“More about Jesus in His Word,   —   Holding communion with my Lord;   —   Hearing His voice in every line,   —   Making each faithful saying mine.

More about Jesus; on His throne,   —   Riches in glory all His own;   —   More of His kingdom's sure increase;   —   More of His coming, Prince of Peace.”
