The Unclouded Day

Revelation 22:5  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Jesus is the Jewel of Heaven, the light that shreads darkness forever.

No more clouds to darken our day.

Heaven is sounding sweeter all the time.

Oh, they tell me of a home far beyond the skies,    —   Oh, they tell me of a home far away;    —   Oh, they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise,    —   Oh, they tell me of an unclouded day.

CHORUS:

Oh, the land of cloudless day,— Oh, the land of an unclouded sky,— Oh, they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise,    —   Oh, they tell me of an unclouded day.

Oh, they tell me of a home where my friends have gone — Oh, they tell me of that land far away, — Where the tree of life in eternal bloom — Sheds its fragrance through the unclouded day.

Oh, they tell me of a King in His beauty there,    —   And they tell me that mine eyes shall behold    —   Where He sits on the throne that is whiter than snow,    —   In the city that is made of gold.

Oh, they tell me that He smiles on His children there,    —   And His smile drives their sorrows all away;    —   And they tell me that no tears ever come again    —   In that lovely land of unclouded day.

Close to Thee

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

The closer the sheep is to the shepherd, the safer it is.

Open your heart to God every day and He will be your constant comfort and guide.

Close to Thee

Thou my everlasting portion,— More than friend or life to me,— All along my pilgrim journey, — Savior, let me walk with Thee.

Close to Thee, close to Thee,— Close to Thee, close to Thee;— All along my pilgrim journey, —  Savior, let me walk with Thee.

Not for ease or worldly pleasure, — Nor for fame my prayer shall be; —  Gladly will I toil and suffer,  —  Only let me walk with Thee.

Close to Thee, close to Thee, — Close to Thee, close to Thee, — Gladly will I toil and suffer,   —    Only let me walk with Thee.

Lead me through the vale of shadows, — Bear me o’er life’s fitful sea; —   Then the gate of life eternal  — May I enter, Lord, with Thee.

Close to Thee, close to Thee, — Close to Thee, close to Thee, —  Then the gate of life eternal  —  May I enter, Lord, with Thee.

I Need Thee Every Hour

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Do you ever need help, face trials that threaten to overwhelm you?

We have a Great High Priest!

He is Superior in every way, sympathetic in every need.

He is our Sanctuary in every trial.

I Need Thee Every Hour

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;   —   No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

CHORUS:

I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;  —  Every hour I need Thee;  —  Oh, bless me now, my Savior,   —   I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;   —   Temptations lose their pow’r when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;   —   Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will;   —   And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;   —   Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son.

We’ll Understand it Better By And By

John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

[2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

There’s a prepared place for a prepared people.

It’s hard to explain all the wonders of that Heavenly City, but when we arrive there, we will be home.

The Father's house is free from sin, sorrow, suffering, or any other thing that would hinder the glory of Heaven.

We’ll Understand it Better By and By

Trials dark on every hand, — And we cannot understand  —  All the way that God will lead us  — To that blessed promised land. —  But He'll guides us with his eye,    —   And we'll follow 'til we die:    —   We will understand it better by and by.

CHORUS:

By and by, when the morning comes — All the saints of God are gathered home  — We will tell the story how we've overcome  — And we'll understand it better by and by

Temptations, hidden snares  — Often take us unaware,  — And our hearts are made to bleed  — For a thoughtless word or deed.  — And we wonder why the test  — When we try to do our best,  — But we'll understand it better by and by.

What A Day That Will Be

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

This makes me homesick.

Makes me lose interest in this world!

What a Day That Will Be

There is coming a day,— When no heart aches shall come,— No

more clouds in the sky, — No more tears to dim the eye. — All

is peace forever more On that happy golden shore. — What a

day, glorious day that will be.

CHORUS:

What a day that will be — When my Jesus I shall see, — And I

Look upon His face, — The One who saved me by His grace;

—  When He takes me by the hand,  —  And leads me

through the Promised Land,  — What a day, glorious day that

will be.

There'll be no sorrow there. — No more burdens to bear.

—   No more sickness, no pain,    —   No more parting over

there;  — And forever I will be    —   With the One who died

for me.  — What a day, glorious day that will be.

Wonderful Peace

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The peace of God that passeth all understanding comes with total surrender to God in all things.

It is peace in the times of trouble.

It is peace that overwhelms our worries and helps us to rest in the will of God even when we can’t see what lies ahead.

Wonderful Peace

Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight    —    Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;  —  In celestial-like strains it unceasingly falls  —  O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

CHORUS:

Peace, peace, wonderful peace,   —   Coming down from the Father above!   —   Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray   —   In fathomless billows of love!

What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace, — Buried deep in the heart of my soul, — So secure that no power can mine it away, — While the years of eternity roll!

I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace,  —   Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control; — For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day, — And His glory is flooding my soul!

And I think when I rise to that city of peace,    —    Where the Author of peace I shall see,    —    That one strain of the song which the ransomed will sing    —    In that heavenly kingdom will be:

Ah soul, are you here without comfort and rest,   —   Marching down the rough pathway of time?   —   Make Jesus your friend ere the shadows grow dark;  —        Oh, accept this sweet peace so sublime!

The Haven of Rest

Psalm 107:29-31 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

[30] Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

[31] Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

The saints of God should praise the Lord because we were tossed about on the stormy seas of life.

Our vessels were doomed to be dashed to pieces upon the rocks of God’s judgment.

When we believed, He spoke peace to the waves that tossed us about and led us safely into the harbor of His grace.

He is our Haven of Rest!

The Haven of Rest

___________________________

My soul in sad exile was out on life’s sea,  — So burdened with sin and distressed, —   Till I heard a sweet voice, saying, “Make Me your choice”;     —    And I entered the “Haven of Rest”!

CHORUS:

I’ve anchored my soul in the “Haven of Rest,”    —    I’ll sail the wide seas no more;  —  The tempest may sweep over wild, stormy, deep,  —  In Jesus I’m safe evermore.

I yielded myself to His tender embrace,    —    In faith taking hold of the Word,  —   My fetters fell off, and I anchored my soul;   —  The “Haven of Rest” is my Lord.

The song of my soul, since the Lord made me whole,  —   Has been the old story so blest, —  Of Jesus, who’ll save whosoever will have  —  A home in the “Haven of Rest.”

Oh, come to the Savior, He patiently waits    —    To save by His power divine;  —  Come, anchor your soul in the “Haven of Rest,”  —  And say, “My Beloved is mine.”
