Psalm 91:4 When  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

When trouble comes our way, no better place can we go than under the wings of God, trusting that He will shield us.

That’s quite a comfort when you’re fighting cancer.

Sheltered in the Arms of God

__________________________

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender,  —   they're leading me in paths that I must trod.   —   I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me,   —   For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

CHORUS:

So let the storms rage high,   —   The dark clouds rise.   —   They don't worry me,   —   For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God.   —   He walks with me   —   And naught of earth shall harm me,   —   For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

Soon I shall hear the call from Heaven's portals. — "Come home, My child, it's the last mile you must trod. — “I'll fall asleep and wake up in God's new heaven, — For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

In The Garden

John 17:22-23 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

[23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

I love this scripture where Jesus included us who would abide in Him in His prayer in The Garden of Getheseme shortly before His trial and crucifixion.

What love He shares with us and Him and His Father.

In The Garden

______________________

I come to the garden alone,    —   While the dew is still on the roses,  — And the voice I hear falling on my ear  —   The Son of God discloses.

CHORUS:

And He walks with me, and He talks with me, — And He tells me I am His own; — And the joy we share as we tarry there, — None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice  — Is so sweet the birds hush their singing, — And the melody that He gave to me — Within my heart is ringing.

I’d stay in the garden with Him, — Though the night around me be falling, — But He bids me go; through the voice of woe  — His voice to me is calling.

No, Not One

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

God may not make you a millionaire, but He will never leave you or forsake you.

It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, if you have responded in faith to the Word of God, you have been brought to the place where you can know that He will never leave you or forsake you. I

No, Not One

There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,    —   No, not one! No, not one!  — None else could heal all our soul’s diseases,  —   No, not one! No, not one!

CHORUS:

Jesus knows all about our struggles,    —   He will guide till the day is done;  — There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,  — No, not one! No, not one!

No friend like Him is so high and holy,    —   No, not one! No, not one!    —   And yet no friend is so meek and lowly,    —   No, not one! No, not one!

There’s not an hour that He is not near us,    —   No, not one! No, not one!  — No night so dark but His love can cheer us,  — No, not one! No, not one!

Did ever saint find this Friend forsake him?    —   No, not one! No, not one!  — Or sinner find that He would not take him?  — No, not one! No, not one!

Was e’er a gift like the Savior given?    —   No, not one! No, not one!    —   Will He refuse us a home in heaven?    —   No, not one! No, not one!

Peace in the Valley

Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

When Christ reigns on earth we will finally have peace, even between animals and children and animals.

Peace In The Valley

Well I'm tired and so weary but I must go along — Till my Lord comes and calls me calls me away. — The morning's so bright and the lamb is the light, — And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes.

CHORUS:

There will be peace in the valley for me some day. — There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray.     —  There'll be no sadness, no sorrow, no troubles I'll see.     —   There will be peace peace in the valley for me

The bear will be gentle and the wolf will be tame, — And the lion shall lay down down by the lamb, oh yes. — The beast from the wild will be lead by little child, — And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes.

A Shelter in the Time of Storm

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

If you personally know the Lord, you probably have experienced His strength

and shelter when you needed it most.

The passing of time often brings with it unexpected storms.

Thank God, He is our shelter.

The Lord’s our Rock, in Him we hide,    —    A Shelter in the time of storm;  —  Secure whatever ill betide,  —  A Shelter in the time of storm.

CHORUS:

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, —  A weary land, a weary land; — Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,  —  A Shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night, — A Shelter in the time of storm; — No fears alarm, no foes afright,  —  A Shelter in the time of storm.

The raging storms may round us beat, — A Shelter in the time of storm;    — We’ll never leave our safe Retreat,  —  A Shelter in the time of storm.

O Rock divine, O Refuge dear, — A Shelter in the time of storm; —  Be Thou our Helper ever near,  —  A Shelter in the time of storm.

He Touched Me

Mark 1:40-41 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

[41] And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

One doesn’t touch a leper.

This man hadn’t been touched in many years, nor had he been able to touch anyone.

But now the Lord touches him, and cleanses him.

What compassion!

He Touched Me

Shackled by a heavy burden, —'Neath a load of guilt and shame. — Then the hand of Jesus touched me,  — And now I am no longer the same.

CHORUS:

He touched me, Oh He touched me,    —   And oh the joy that floods my soul!    —   Something happened and now I know,    —   He touched me and made me whole.

Since I met this blessed Savior,    —   Since He cleansed and made me whole,    —   I will never cease to praise Him,    —   I'll shout it while eternity rolls.

Redeemed

Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

As the Redeemed rejoice with the Heavenly choir, every song will glorify Jesus.

We will lift our voices and sing “Thou art worthy” because He is worthy by His blood to be praised.

I can’t wait to be at the greatest worship service ever.

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!    —   Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;    —   Redeemed through His infinite mercy,    —   His child and forever I am.

CHORUS:

Redeemed, redeemed,  —  Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;  — Redeemed, redeemed,    —   His child and forever I am.

Redeemed, and so happy in Jesus,    —   No language my rapture can tell;    —   I know that the light of His presence    —   With me doth continually dwell.

I think of my blessed Redeemer,  —  I think of Him all the day long: — I sing, for I cannot be silent;    —   His love is the theme of my song.

I know I shall see in His beauty — The King in whose law I delight;  — Who lovingly guardeth my footsteps, — And giveth me songs in the night.
