Is This Wedding Music That I Hear?

John writes about a glorious wedding in Revelation.

Revelation 19:6-7 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

[7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

This will be the most special moment in all the history of creation! It will be the moment when the Lamb of God takes His Bride unto Himself.

I had this song played at Gale’s funeral today.

Is That Wedding Music That I Hear?

_____________________________

The family is preparing for a wedding,    —    All have been invited to attend.    —    The bride is standing ready, waiting for the signal  —   when the groom says, “Rise, my children, come on in.”

CHORUS;

Is that wedding music I hear?    —    The brides adorned and ready to appear.    —    There's heavenly preparation for the wedding celebration.    —    Is that wedding music that I hear?

Soon we’ll rise to leave this land of sorrow —  for that ceremony in the air.    —    The father then will lead us    —    through the holy land of splendor.    —    Have you made you preparation to go there?

Beyond The SunSet

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

The thought of Heaven has sustained the saint of God for centuries.

Just knowing that there is a place of endless glory and blessing ahead is enough to give us “joy unspeakable and full of glory”.

Beyond The Sunset

Beyond the sunset,    —   O blissful morning,   —   When with our Savior   —   Heav'n is begun.   —   Earth's toiling ended,   —   O glorious dawning;   —   Beyond the sunset   —   When day is done.

Beyond the sunset,   —   No clouds will gather,   —   No storms will threaten, — No fears annoy; — O day of gladness, — O day unending,   —   Beyond the sunset,   —   Eternal Joy.

Beyond the sunset,   —   A hand will guide me   —   To God, the Father, — Whom I adore; —His glorious presence, — His words of welcome,   —   Will be my portion   —   On that fair shore.

Beyond the sunset,   —   O glad reunion,   —   With our dear loved ones   —   Who've gone before;   —   In that fair homeland   — We'll know no parting, — Beyond the sunset — For evermore.

My Savior’s Love

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

This seems like a paradox, but believers are dead to sin, but alive in Jesus, not just alive until our bodies cease to live, but alive forever!

Just as we share His death, we also share His life.

Eternal life begins the instant you received Jesus as your Savior, [John 10:10; John 10:28].

My Savior’s Love

I stand amazed in the presence    —   Of Jesus the Nazarene,

And wonder how He could love me,    —   A sinner, condemned, unclean.

CHORUS:

How marvelous! How wonderful!    —   And my song shall ever be:    —   How marvelous! How wonderful!    —   Is my Savior’s love for me!

For me it was in the garden    —   He prayed: “Not My will, but Thine.”    —   He had no tears for His own griefs,    —   But sweat drops of blood for mine.

He took my sins and my sorrows,    —   He made them His very own;    —   He bore the burden to Calv’ry,    —   And suffered and died alone.

When with the ransomed in glory    —   His face I at last shall see,    —   ’Twill be my joy through the ages    —   To sing of His love for me.

Near To The Heart Of God

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

The Lord is all we need in this life or in the life to come.

A personal relationship with God will show us that our flesh is weak, but our Lord is strong.

A heart that desires nothing but the Lord is a heart that will never be disappointed.

There is a place of quiet rest, —  Near to the heart of God; —  A place where sin cannot molest,   —    Near to the heart of God.

CHORUS:

O Jesus, blest Redeemer, — Sent from the heart of God; —  Hold us, who wait before Thee,   —    Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of comfort sweet,— Near to the heart of God; —  A place where we our Savior meet, — Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of full release, — Near to the heart of God; — A place where all is joy and peace, — Near to the heart of God.

Amazing Grace

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast

You never know how amazing Grace is until you know the Amazing Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,      —   That saved a wretch like me.    —   I once was lost but now am found,      —   Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.      —   And Grace, my fears relieved.      —   How precious did that Grace appear...      —   the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...  —  we have already come.      —   T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...      —   and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me... — His word my hope secures. — He will my shield and portion be...      —   as long as life endures.

When we've been there ten thousand years...      —   bright shining as the sun.      —   We've no less days to sing God's praise...      —   then when we've first begun.

God Will Take Care Of You

Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

God reminds the Israelites that He has met their need since day one, and that He has pledged Himself to continue to do just that.

God has not changed. What He did for Israel, He can be counted on to do for you and me.

God Will Take Care Of You

Be not dismayed whate’er betide,    —    God will take care of you;    —    Beneath His wings of love abide,    —    God will take care of you.

CHORUS:

God will take care of you,    —    Through every day, o’er all the way; — He will take care of you,  —  God will take care of you.

Through days of toil when heart doth fail,    —    God will take care of you;    —    When dangers fierce your path assail,    —    God will take care of you.

All you may need He will provide,    —    God will take care of you;    — Nothing you ask will be denied,  —  God will take care of you.

No matter what may be the test, — God will take care of you; —  Lean, weary one, upon His breast,  —  God will take care of you.

He Keeps Me Singing

Psalm 40:3  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

The Lord speaks to us through His Word and spiritual sermons, but He also speaks to us through music.

How many times has the Lord touched our hearts and drew us closer to Him through a gospel song? Many times for me.

He Keeps Me Singing

_______________________________

There’s within my heart a melody,    —   Jesus whispers sweet and low,    —   Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still,    —   In all of life’s ebb and flow.

CHORUS:

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,    —   Sweetest Name I know,    —   Fills my every longing,    —   Keeps me singing as I go.

All my life was wrecked by sin and strife, — Discord filled my heart with pain,    —   Jesus swept across the broken strings,  —   Stirred the slumb’ring chords again.

Feasting on the riches of His grace,    —   Resting ’neath His shelt’ring wing,  — Always looking on His smiling face,  — That is why I shout and sing.

Though sometimes He leads through waters deep,    —   Trials fall across the way,    —   Though sometimes the path seems rough and steep,    —   See His footprints all the way.

Soon He’s coming back to welcome me,    —   Far beyond the starry sky;  — I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown,  — I shall reign with Him on high.
