If God Can

Regardless of what the need is, God knows all about it. When we pursue the spiritual, God will always see to the material.

Luke 12:31-32 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Many people live in doubt of God’s great ability to care for His people; but I would like to remind you that;

If God can speak this universe into existence, He can take care of you. — If He can keep Noah safe through that flood; — If He can feed Elijah with the ravens; — if He can put meal in the barrel, oil in the cruse and life in the boy for the widow;

If He can keep the three Hebrew boys safe in the furnace; — if He can keep Daniel safe in the lion’s den; — If He can feed Israel manna and quail in the wilderness for forty years;

If He can slay Goliath for David; — if He can take care of those disciples in that storm; — if He can part the Red Sea for Moses; — if He can raise Lazarus from the dead; — if He can walk on the water; — if He can feed the five thousand, and countless other things too numerous to mentions;

I think He is able to take care of you. Humbly trust Him.

God remains faithful even when we fail Him and ignore Him, 2 Tim. 2:13. But we miss out  on His best when we fail to put the Lord first in our lives.

The Glory Of God

It took Job awhile to understand that his horrible condition was bigger than Job. It wasn’t because of his sins and not because of things he was accused of by his friends.

Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

All his misery happened for the glory of God. All of life is about God getting His glory from us.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

In the end, God gave Job twice as much as he lost. He can give you better things than those you might have lost or are worried over losing..

Regardless of how dismal and dark the valley, the Lord is always with you.

Trust God, and He will allow you to taste the sweetness of victory.

Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Thank You Jesus

As we stuff our faces and enjoy our families, don’t forget the many blessings the the good Lord has bestowed on you.

If you didn’t stuff your face or you aren’t with family, thank the good Lord for His tender mercies, His love, and His care.

Thank Jesus for dying on a cruel cross for your sins.

Psalm 116:17  I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of the Lord .

“Someday I shall stand in God's city — To receive the bright treasures I've won.. — But how can I ever accept them — Till I thank Him for what He has done.

“When I thank Him for what He has done. — I must look back to the crucified one. — On that beautiful shore, I must kneel once more — Just to thank Him for what He has done.” Albert Brumley

Praise Him, Praise Him

True praise looks at God, recognizes His greatness, remembers the reality of His blessings, and bursts forth from a soul that adores the Lord.

Psalm 100:5  For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

What is God is to you? What has He done for you?

Praise Him this Thanksgiving because He is God, because you love Him, and for all the blessings He sent your way..

“Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer. — Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim. — Hail Him! Hail Him! Highest archangels in glory; —Strength and honor give to His holy Name.

“Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children, — In His arms He carries them all day long. — Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness; — Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song.”   Fanny J. Crosby

Delightul

Psalm 37:4  Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

When the Lord is our delight, we will only want the things which bring Him glory. Our will and desires will be lost in Him.

At all times of life, we are challenged to let the Lord be the focus of our attention.

Ephesians 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Our darkest day can be endured because we know God loves us and something better awaits us.

“Since i started for the kingdom — since my life he controls.. — Since i gave my heart to Jesus — the longer i serve Him the sweeter He grows.

“The longer i serve Him, the sweeter He grows, — the more that i love Him, more love He bestows. — Each day is like heaven, my hearts overflows, — the longer i serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

“Ev'ry need He is supplying, — Plenteous grace He bestows; — Everyday my way gets brighter, — the longer i serve Him, the sweeter He grows.”

Show Me Thy Glory

We pray for God to send revival, and all we are really asking is that which Moses prayed.
Exodus 33:18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

Revival is close:

— When we want to know God's ways so that we might better serve Him.

— When we have a desire to know Him better in an ever-deepening fellowship.

— When we long for His abiding presence to guide us day by day.

— When we want to see the glory of God revealed so that He might receive the worship and praise that He is worthy of receiving.

Moses request boils down to a request for genuine revival.

“We praise Thee, O God! — For the Son of Thy love, — For Jesus Who died and is now gone above. — Hallelujah! Thine the glory. — Hallelujah! Amen. — Hallelujah! Thine the glory. — Revive us again.”  William P. Mackay 1863

To God Be The Glory

Psalm 103:2-4 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
[3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

[4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

David identifies eight spiritual reasons that should stimulate our hearts to offer God thanksgiving and praise,

God’s Forgiveness – God’s Healing – God’s Redemption – God’s Grace –
God’s Peace – God’s Intercession – God’s Revelation – God’s Sovereignty.

“How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me? —  Things so undeserved, yet You gave to prove Your love for me; —The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude. — All that I am and ever hope to be, I owe it all to Thee.

“To God be the glory, — to God be the glory, — to God be the glory for the things He has done. — With His blood He has saved me, — with His power He has raised me; — to God be the glory for the things He has done.”  Andrae Crouch
