God In The Valley

Just as sure as God is behind all the blessings of life, He is behind all the burdens as well.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

I don’t know how God will do it, but when you claim His promises in your valley, in His time He will come to where you are and confirm His faithfulness.

Psalm 46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

God will use your valley as a banner to write His love over your life. Don’t be afraid

“Life is easy, when you're up on the mountain — And you've got peace of mind, like you've never known — But things change, when you're down in the valley — Don't lose faith, you are never alone.

“For the God on the mountain, is still God in the valley — When things go wrong, He'll make them right — And the God of the good times, is still God in the bad times — The God of the day, is still God in the night.”  Tracy Dartt

The King’s Highway

Regardless of the path we are called to walk, The King’s Highway leads His pilgrims home. There is “joy and gladness” at the end of the way. “Sorrow and sighing will flee away” when the pilgrims reach the end of the road.
Isaiah 35:8-10 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; . . . . [9]   . . . the redeemed shall walk there:

[10] And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”

The way may grow hard and our strength may fade, but there is no better path through the wilderness of this world than The King’s Highway.

Fear Thou Not

God gave us some precious promises for our journey. Isaiah 41:10 is one of my favorites.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

When you are on the freeway to the hospital, it’s good to have assurance that there is grace and strength for the procedure you are facing.

Knowing your ever loving Lord is holding your hand all day long eases your fear and calms your anxiety,

When God is your best friend ever, life is good, even the hard times.

The God-breathed, Infallible Bible

I’ve never been perfect and don’t have all the answers, but one thing I know. Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me.

He redeemed me from my sins many years ago and made me a new creature.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

His Holy Word has captured my full affection, delight, and pleasure.

You can’t study God’s Word too much. It’s powerful.

Because It’s the complete revelation of God to men, It meets every need I’ve ever had in this materialistic world.

The Bible is the very Word of Truth — God-breathed and infallible — inerrant and absolutely perfect, ever teaching me to be like Jesus.

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

[17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Reach Out To Jesus

If there is a genuine desire to be near God, there will be a commitment to prayer and to the study of the Word of God.

There will be a commitment to public and private worship.

Those who want to linger near the Lord will find a way. When we make a move toward God, He will make a move toward us,

James 4:8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

“Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone? — Does the road you travel, harbor dangers yet unknown? — Are you growing weary in the struggle of it all? — Jesus will help you when on his name you call.

“He is always there, hearing every prayer, faithful and true. — Walking by our side, in his love we hide all the day through. — When you get discouraged just remember what to do. — Reach out to Jesus, he's reaching out to you.”

The Right Focus

THE RIGHT FOCUS

The Apostle Paul endured trials and persecutions, but he was able to keep his focus on Heaven where he had laid up some treasure.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Someone may say, "Well that was good for Paul, but what about me? How can I face my valleys today and walk in victory?

I think the secret lies in getting your eyes off the size of your problem and getting them on the splendor of your Heavenly home.

Jesus would have us trade our defeated spirit for a spirit of power and victory.

Hey, child of God! You're a King's Kid! You are just passing through.

“My Father is rich in houses and lands. — He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands. — Of rubies and diamonds and silver and gold, — His coffers are full and His riches untold.”   Harriet E. Buell

Keep On Living For Jesus

Keep on living for Jesus, day in and day out, even when others around you fall away. Refuse to turn back or waiver from following him.

In His time, He will bless you and reward you for being faithful during the routine times of life.

God’s promise is this: “… as thy days, so shall thy strength be,” Deut. 33:25. Here is His requirement:

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
