D.L. Moody wrote in the front of his Bible, “This book will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from this book.”
The last night of our Savior’s life on earth, He prayed to His Heavenly Father for everyone who would ever believe on Him.
John 17:14-15 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
The Word of God exposes the deceptions and dangerous devices of this world. The world hates believers because we don’t belong to it's system (John 15:18-19). They don't understand spiritual things.
When we were saved, we were set apart for God. As we grow in faith, our love for sin is less and love for God is more. All of this comes through reading the Word and allowing the Spirit of God to give us understanding.
One of the first steps toward the world is neglect of the Word of God.
NORMA DAVIS ---- There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus . . . Romans 8:1

Give Your Burden To Jesus
Believers have an alternative to worry. That would be peace -- peace of mind by faith in Jesus.
Most of us worry about things like test results from the doctor and what may or may not happen or other perils of life. The Psalmist tells us to “commit” and “trust” the Lord.
Psalm 37:5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
We don’t have to bear burdens by ourselves. We don't have to worry. We have a God who cares and commands us to bring them to Him. I gave Jesus my most trying times and He gave me peace.
Trust the Lord. Give Him your burdens. Rest in His arms of sweet deliverance.

God Can Handle What's Handling You
God tells us how to handle what’s handling us. He says “Come”.
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
If The Lord can place the stars in Heaven with the spread of a finger, He can easily handle your problem.
• Sometimes He will remove your burden -- change your situation in an instant (The Widow of Zarepath - 1 Kings 18).
• Sometimes He will relieve your burden -- lighten it a little (Ruth when He allowed her path to cross that of Boaz, Ruth 2-3).
• Sometimes He will rest you in your burden -- give you grace to carry the load (2 Cor. 12:9) --- change you instead of your situation.
God will always do what is right for your life. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28.
Is something handling you? Bring it to Jesus? He knows how to handle what’s handling you.

Revival
I believe Moses is praying for a revival.
Exodus 33:18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
Revival is close when we long for and pray for:
• The presence of God to guide us day by day;
• The glory of God to be revealed so that He might receive worship and praise for which He is worthy.
When the Lord begins to move in a life or in a church, He has a way of rooting out sin, selfishness and hypocrisy. That’s revival.
Are you hungry to see the Lord move in your life? Are you willing to seek revival? It will change your life forever.
"Hallelujah, Thine the glory, Revive us again!"

My Lord -- My Everything
“My" is the first pronoun learned by most children. They say things like "my toys", "my house", "my room", etc. This is their childish way of saying they know what is theirs.
David says "my" eight times in the following Psalm as he expresses simple, childlike faith in his relationship with the Lord.
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
The Lord supplies everything David needs for the battles he faces. God is his everything. God can be our everything if we let Him.

A Sound Mind
The Apostle Paul knew there would be times when Timothy would face doubts and fears. He encourages him in a letter.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Doubts and fears are not of God. They are likely two of the biggest hindrances to the Christian and their witness for the Lord.
We don’t have to live in fear. We can live in confidence through the power of God. He equips us to face whatever comes our way.

Joy -- Down In My Heart To Stay
JOY. When I think of joy I immediately think of happiness, but real joy is more.
It isn’t slapping a silly grin on your face and walking around like that all the time. It isn’t pleasure either. These are affected by circumstances.
When life situations please us, we are happy. When there are problems, we are unhappy.
Real joy can’t be touched by the circumstances of life. Real joy is a sovereign gift of God. It’s part of the fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Real joy can’t be shaken but endures all things with a confident glory that nothing can rattle.
You and I will not always be happy in life, but we can always have joy.
