The God Of The Impossible

While in prison for warning the nation of Israel of coming judgment, Jeremiah finds confidence in The Lord.
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
I marvel at God speaking into existence the world, light, and the vastness of the universe. But when I think that holy eternal, infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent God would condescend to love the likes of sinners like us, I realize that if He can take a black heart, wash it in the red blood of His Son, and make it whiter than snow, He can do anything.
Ah, the God of the impossible!

Life-Changing Grace

The redeemed saints of God are His masterpiece. We are saved because He took the shapeless, dead clay of our lives in His loving, powerful hands and molded us into something new for His glory. Shaped by grace, His infinite skill wrote His love into our lives.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
When you think about the raw material God has to work with when He saves sinners and changes lives, it becomes far more incredible.
If you are saved, your life is God's love letter to a lost world, saying He loves sinners; that His Son died to redeem the lost; that there is life-changing power in the grace of God; that the Gospel is real, and that Jesus Christ makes a difference in every life He redeems.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.

Now Is The Time

We don't know what the future holds. If we knew prosperity was coming we would live carelessly. If we knew adversity or trouble were coming we would live with constant anxiety and fear.
People would do well to remember that even with our best laid plans, our lives, our futures, and all that we have are in the hands of Almighty God.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away.
15. For that ye ought to say, If The Lord will, we shall live and do this or that.
"If The Lord wills" should be a way of life.
At its best, life is terribly short. Death comes suddenly and unannounced. The time to live for Jesus is now. The time to witness is now. Now is the time to stand up like Isaiah and say, "Here am I: send me."

On A Hill Far Away

In many churches today the bloody message of the cross is not being preached. Instead of hearing that men are sinners and need to be saved, people hear, 'I'm OK and you're OK'.
On a hill far away God boldly declared His boundless, matchless love for the lost of this world, and it cost His only Son a brutal, bloody death on the cross.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Satan may roar like a ferocious lion, and he may try to keep you from God, but he was defeated by the power of God on the old rugged cross. You don't have to remain his prisoner. Jesus will set you free if you ask.
And I'll cherish the old rugged cross, till my trophies at last I lay down.
