Only Trust Him

You can't figure God. If you could He would cease to be God and you would become God and could fix your own messes. But you can’t.

Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Often God's will and your will are two different animals.

The secret of getting your need met by God is trusting that He knows what’s best for your life and then be willing to submit to His will even when you don't understand.

God can bless and use a surrendered life.

When the mist of life hides the God of glory from view, rest assured that He is there and that He is faithfully executing His plan for the ages and for your life.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Praise God

No emotion is as elegant, as beneficial or as beautiful as a heart that is filled with praise for the Lord.

Psalm 33:1 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the Lord for His Word. The Word of God is like a compass that guides us through the desert of this world.

Praise God for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our salvation.

Praise God because He is in control of all things and that allows us to rest in His providence.

Praise God that He sees everything that happens to us — the pain. the problems, the attacks of our enemies. He sees the hurts, the fears, the valleys and the sorrows. Nothing escapes His eyes.

Praise God the decisions that determine the course of this world are not made in Washington, Moscow or Beijing. They are made in Heaven by the sovereign God Who occupies the throne as the Ruler of all things.

Saved To Serve

Jesus didn’t save us from our sins just so we could go to Heaven and avoid Hell.

He saved our souls so that we might be actively engaged in His service here on earth, and we need His power to get the job done.

Never let the child of God think he or she can do it on their own.

John 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

It’s crystal clear. To bring forth much spiritual fruit — to bring honor and glory to Jesus’ Name — we must abide in Jesus.

Abiding in Jesus means getting into His Word and praying a lot because you love Him. It means loving others because Jesus told us to.

Now that’s a blessed way to live.

The Peace Of God

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus reminds His disciples that He is still the Prince of Peace and just because He’s leaving, He won’t remove His peace.
Believers have the same assurance today.

If not for the peace of God, I would never make it through the valleys of ill health in my family.

If not for the peace of God, the gunk and rubbish of life would overtake me.

According to the Prince of Peace, this peace is Heavenly in origin, so it can’t be affected by the events of earth.

I’m glad we can lean on the peace of Jesus and trust Him to take care of us in troubled times - Phil. 4:6-7; Isa. 26:3.
