No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

[7] Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

When we surrender ourselves to God’s will, He will use us for His glory.

He will carry the worries of life that press us down.

How can we do this? With the absolute confidence that He cares for us, Heb. 4:15.

No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

_________________________________________________________

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,   —    Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true.   —    I would tell you how He changed my life completely.   —    He did something that no other friend could do.

CHORUS:

No one ever cared for me like Jesus.   —    There's no other friend so kind as He.   —    No one else could take the sin and darkness from me.   —    Oh how much He cared for me.

All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me;   —    All my heart was full of misery and woe.   —    Jesus placed His strong arms about me,   —    And He led me in the way I ought to go. - - -

Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance.   —    More and more I understand His words of love.   —    But I'll never know just why He came to save me   —                         Till someday I see His blessed face above. - - -

He Keeps Me Singing

Psalm 40:2-3 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

[3] And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

Several years ago a lady told me how for some time she searched for something to satisfy her soul.

One day she found a hymn book and read the beautiful words on each page. It led her to a church where she got saved.

There is power in the anointed words of gospel songs.

I’m thankful for the songs in my heart, placed there by the grace of a great God?

He Keeps Me Singing

____________________________________

There's within my heart a melody;    —    Jesus whispers sweet and low, — “Fear not, I am with thee peace be still,” —  In all of life's ebb and flow.

CHORUS:

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus;    —    Sweetest name I know,  —  Fills my ev'ry longing,    —    Keeps me singing as I go.

All my life was wrecked by sin and strife;    —    Discord filled my heart with pain. — Jesus swept across the broken strings, — Stirred the slumb'ring chords again.

Feasting on the riches of His grace;    —    Resting 'neath His shelt'ring wing. — Always looking on His smiling face,  —  That is why I shout and sing.

Tho' sometimes He leads through waters deep,    —    trials fall a cross the way.    —    Tho' sometimes the path seems rough and steep,    —    See His foootprints all the way.

Soon His coming back to welcome me,    —    Far beyond the starry sky. — I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown; — I shall reign with Him on high.

He Leadeth Me

Psalm 23:1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

[2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

[3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

We don’t always like where the path of life leads us, but if we are following the Good Shepherd, we can be assured that He will always lead us in the right path, Psa. 37:23.

He Leadeth Me

He leadeth me, O blessed thought!   —    O words with heav’nly comfort fraught!   —    Whate’er I do, where’er I be   —    Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me.

CHORUS:

He leadeth me, He leadeth me,   —    By His own hand He leadeth me;   —    His faithful foll’wer I would be,   —    For by His hand He leadeth me.

Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom,   —    Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,   —    By waters still, o’er troubled sea,   —    Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.

Lord, I would place my hand in Thine,   —    Nor ever murmur nor repine;   —    Content, whatever lot I see,   —    Since ’tis my God that leadeth me.

And when my task on earth is done,   —    When by Thy grace the vict’ry’s won, —  E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee, — Since God through Jordan leadeth me.

Trust And Obey

Psalm 84:11-12 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

[12] O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Grace is help for today and Glory is hope for tomorrow.

God is simply promising to get us home safely.

The Lord will bless a yielded life, one that is walking in true faith.

It is simply a matter of learning to trust Him and rest in Him.

Trust And Obey

_______________________________

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,   —   What a glory He sheds on our way!   —   While we do His good will, He abides with us still,   —   And with all who will trust and obey.

CHORUS:

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way   —   To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,   —   But His smile quickly drives it away;   —   Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,   —   Can abide while we trust and obey. - - -

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,   —   But our toil He doth richly repay;   —   Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,   —   But is blessed if we trust and obey. - - -

But we never can prove the delights of His love   —   Until all on the altar we lay;   —   For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,   —   Are for them who will trust and obey. - - -

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,   —   Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;   —   What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;   —   Never fear, only trust and obey.

John H. Sammis  1887
