Love Lifted Me

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The greatest thought to grip the human mind is this: “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so!”

Look no farther than the bloody cross of Calvary to see the extent of God’s love for you!

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,    —   Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,    —   But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry,    —   From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

CHORUS:

Love lifted me! Love lifted me!  — When nothing else could help, — Love lifted me!  —  Love lifted me! Love lifted me!    —   When nothing else could help,    —   Love lifted me!

All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I’ll cling,    —   In His blessed presence live, ever His praises sing,    —   Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul’s best songs,    —   Faithful, loving service, too, to Him belongs.

Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves,  —  He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves;  —  He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,  — He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

The Longer I Serve Him

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When you and I are believers of God, we have the nature of God.

We can understand God when He speaks through His Word and the Spirit of God makes it real to us.

Isn’t that wonderful!  That’s why the longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

The Longer I Serve Him

Since I started for the Kingdom. — Since my life He controls, — Since I gave my heart to Jesus; — The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

CHORUS:

The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows,    —   The more that I love Him, more love He bestows.    —   Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows.    —   The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

Ev’ry need He is supplying, — Plenteous grace He bestows; — Ev’ry day my way gets brighter. — The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

Joy Comes In The Morning

Psalm 30:4-5 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

[5] For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Thank God, our storms don’t last forever.

Joy Comes In The Morning

If you've knelt beside the rubble of an aching broken heart  —  When the things you gave your life to fell apart.  — You're not the first to be acquainted with sorrow, grief or pain,  — But the master promised sunshine after rain.

CHORUS:

Hold on my child (Hold on my child) — Joy comes in the morning. — Weeping only last for the night. — Hold on my child (Hold on my child)    —   Joy comes in the morning.    —   The darkest hour means dawn is just in sight.

To invest your seeds of trust in God in mountains you can't move, — You have risked your life on things you cannot prove.  —  But to give the things you cannot keep for what you cannot lose.  — That's the way to find the joy God has for you.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

Hebrews 13:5-6  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

[6] So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Believers don’t have to worry about the future.

We have God’s promise to never forsake us.

Whatever the future holds, we can know the Lord is our helper and nobody can scare us. That’s all we need.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

___________________________

I don't know about tomorrow; — I just live from day to day. — I don't borrow from its sunshine — For its skies may turn to grey. — I don't worry o'er the future, — For I know what Jesus said. — And today I'll walk beside Him, — For He knows what lies ahead.

CHORUS:

Many things about tomorrow — I don't seem to understand, — But I know who holds tomorrow,  —  And I know who holds my hand.

Every step is getting brighter — As the golden stairs I climb; — Every burden's getting lighter, — Every cloud is silver-lined. — There the sun is always shining,  —  There no tear will dim the eye;  —  At the ending of the rainbow  —  Where the mountains touch the sky.

I don't know about tomorrow; — It may bring me poverty. — But the one who feeds the sparrow — Is the one who stands by me. — And the path that be my portion — May be through the flame or flood; —  But His presence goes before me, — And I'm covered with His blood.
