While on earth, Jesus didn't carry cash, at least not on this particular day. He didn't have to. He was the Son of God. While in Capernaum with his disciples, a tax collector hit Peter up for money. He wasted no time finding his Lord. Jesus didn't like the king only collecting taxes from strangers.

Matthew 17:27  Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up: and when thou has opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take and give unto them for me and thee.

If I had been Peter, I would have exclaimed, "What?" But seeing Jesus feed 5,000 people with five loaves of bread and two fishes, (not to mention the healings) he quickly obeyed. Being a fisherman, don't you know he smiled with anticipation as he tossed out that line, and then shouted a praise when he touched the coin.

Got problems? Take them to Jesus. Believe, and He may surprise you with a dramatic answer.
