1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Prayer is more than words. It's also the desires of our hearts, and our hearts are constantly "desiring" before Him, even if we never speak a word.
To "pray without ceasing" means to have such holy desires in our hearts, in the will of God, that we are constantly in communion with the Father, petitioning His blessings.
It's good to know we have a direct line -- "Wi-Fi connection" to God.
Some of my most impulsive prayers went this way.
- HELP! HELP! HELP! That was when I forgot to brake at an icy bridge on I-30
- HELP! I can't see. Don't let an 18-wheeler hit me. That was during a blizzard on I-40
- Lord, i'm a wimp. I don't think I can handle Chemo. That was in recovery -- 1997
I'm thankful that God answered all those prayers.God is good.
