IN THE WORLD -- NOT OF THE WORLD

In our country the sense of moral standards are not there.

True Christians are a peculiar people. We are in the world but should not be of the world. We are not to love the world or seclude ourselves from it, but to love the people.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We don't do good things to get to heaven. We do them because we are going to heaven.

Romans 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

God has a will and purpose for believers. We must study the Word and pray every day to know that will.

Psalm 139:23,24  Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts; And see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
