RESTORATION

Psalm 55:22  Cast thy burden upon The Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
In the 1930s, Tommy A. Dorsey, a famous gospel singer, grieved the deaths of his wife and newborn child. In the last month of her pregnancy, she had asked him to cancel his singing performance in another city, but he left. She and the baby died while he was gone, and he suffered unbearable guilt for some time.
On a quiet day he sat down at the piano and felt peace as though he could reach out and touch God.
"I found myself playing a melody, one I'd never heard or played before, and the words in my head -- they just seemed to fall in place." Here it is:

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand.
I am tired, I am weak I am worn.
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light,
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.
