The New Jerusalem

The New Jerusalem will be presented by God in a way that is nothing less than spectacular.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2. And I, John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The picture of a bride speaks of joy, anticipation, glory, beauty, purity, and love. The sight will be breathtaking.

There's a holy and beautiful city

Whose builder and ruler is God;

John saw it descending from Heaven,

When Patmos, in exile, he trod;

Its high massive wall is of Jasper,

The city itself is pure gold;

And when my frail tent here is folded,

Mine eyes shall its glory behold.

In that bright city, pearly white city,

I have a mansion, a harp, and a crown

Now I am watching, waiting and longing,

For the white city that's soon coming down.
