Jesus Loves Me

Dr. R.A. Torrey was asked about the most profound concept he had ever learned from the Bible. Without hesitation, Mr. Torrey answered. "The most profound truth I have ever encountered in the word of God is this: Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so."

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death not life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come;

39. Nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The following verse was penciled on the wall of a narrow room in an American insane asylum by a man said to have been demented. It was discovered when they laid him in his coffin.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,  and were the skies of parchment made 

Were every stalk on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade 

To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry  

Nor could the scroll contain the whole 

Though stretched from sky to sky
