Sheep Require A Good Shepherd
Psalm 23:1-3 The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Jesus is the Shepherd of the believer. He could've compared us to brave lions, but he called us sheep. Sheep have a reputation for being dumb. We need a shepherd to lead and protect us.
Jesus not only calls us by name, but He bonds with us. He knows when we're weak, when we stray, and when we're loyal. We know His voice.
Jesus leads us to what's best for us and melts the coldness of our hearts with the warmness of His embrace.
We don't have to fear theValley of the Shadow of Death. I've been there. Maybe some of you have too.
I'm looking forward to spending eternity with my Good Shepherd.
