2 Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I want "these things". I need "these things". Three prior verses lists them.
Virtue – Physical, mental, and spiritual purity.
Knowledge – Get into the Word – Let the Word get into you.
Temperance – Self-control your tongue, temper, and temptation.
Godliness – "God-like-ness." Always please God first.
Brotherly Kindness – Treat people like you want to be treated.
Charity – That self-sacrificing, never-ending, all-encompassing love that Jesus showed while on earth.
Seek the Lord for "these things”.
