Fellowship In The Gospel

The Apostle Paul wrote many letter to churches in the first century. While they contain blessings and help for each church they also rebuke and correct. But the letter to the church in Philippi didn’t rebuke and correct. They always supported Paul in prayer, fellowship and  financial support, and he never forgot their ministry of love.

Philippians 1:3-5  I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

How is our fellowship in the gospel? The place our fellow believers hold in our hearts reveals a great deal about where we stand with the Lord. Do we dwell on unkind words? Maybe a believer rubs us the wrong way.

If we want to have  “fellowship in the gospel” I suggest we restudy the fruit of the Spirit and ask the Lord to help us to produce that fruit.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
