I am encouraged because faith calms my fears. I’m not sheltered from bad things, but in the midst of them I have His promises - - -
- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose – Rom 8:28
- But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ – 1 Cor. 15:57
- For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory – 2 Cor. 4:17
- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus – Phil 4:6-7
God’s will is that we live by faith. Faith is a deep settled assurance that what God has said He will do, He is more than able and willing to do.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him -- Heb 11:6
