God met Israel’s needs from day one---Passing through the Red Sea (Ex. 14); Crossing the River Jordan (Deut.4); Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3) are remembered most. God promised.
Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
What does this mean for believers today? It means God hasn't changed. What He did for Israel, He can do for us, especially those who enjoy an intimate relationship with Him.
I’ve been through troubled waters, crossed rivers, danced in fire and God never left my side. Precious moments.
“When thou passest through” and “when thou walkest through” means trials, battles and life problems are temporary. One day they will pass away and trouble the saints of God no more.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
