Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Fearing the Lord, is recognizing Him as—
Genuine Fear of the Lord is seen in obedience. We want to please God because we love Him and He loves us, even loved us—died for us—when we weren’t so lovely.
Not knowing the future, we need God’s help every day.
- Creator and us as His creaturees
- Master and us as His servants
- The Father and us as His children
- A deep seated reverence for His Spirit-breathed Word
