Poor Job. He lost everything except his nagging wife and three so-called misleading friends. In his scratching misery he looks beyond the present to some things to rejoice in.
Job 19:25-26 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Job and I know the same Redeemer and share the same hope in Heaven.
I find comfort, hope and strength in the thought of seeing Jesus. I know Him and He knows me and He still loves me. He’s the best friend I ever had.
One day dirt will cover my body and my soul will return to God. Even so, like Job, my body will rise - 1 Cor. 15:12-23. It will be changed and in the flesh I will see God. That’s something to rejoice about.
When life is rough and you feel defeated, there are some sure facts that can bring you joy in the midst of the storm.
