As Paul writes to the Thessalonian believers, he offers hope to a people who thought all hope was gone.
Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
We have that same hope. It’s unshakable and profound. It’s eternal and powerful. It gives joy, peace and blessing to our hearts.
I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. It may bring death, disease and disaster. It may bring sorrow, pain and hardship. It may bring blessing, joy and happiness—but I know Jesus is coming and that’s comforting.
