The Lord gave the Jews a prophetic message of hope concerning that period of time when Jesus reigns on earth in glory and power.
Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
I’m reminded of a parallel promise of hope to all believers.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
One day we are going to where Jesus is. When we arrive, God will take His great handkerchief of love and grace and wipe our tears away.
I find that comforting.
