That I May Know Him

The Apostle Paul was a tremendous soul winner and preacher of the Word. Some may think he had arrived  but Paul knew the truth. He was still working his passion—to know more of Christ.
Philippians 3:8,9,10 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

[9] And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

What blessed scripture to take to heart beginning tomorrow, January 1, 2019—to know Christ better.

Focusing on Jesus every day through prayer and reading His Word will keep us in the right direction to our fullest potential for the glory of God next year.

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus—look full in His wonderful face,—and the things of earth will grow strangely dim,—in the light of His glory and grace."  —-Helen Hogarth Lemmel 1922.
