Colossians 1:16-17 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
The Lord Jesus is first in rank, standing over all created beings, because He is their Creator.
I know that Jesus created all things with His Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit, but I tend to forget thrones, dominions, principalities and powers.
He is preeminent over His creation. He is in control of it all. In the Godless world we live in, I find that comforting.
Thus, Jesus and Jesus alone is to be exalted.
Jesus and Jesus alone is to be worshiped.
Jesus and Jesus alone is to receive all the glory in our lives and in our church.
