When the angel came to Mary, he told her to name the child “Jesus,”
Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
At the mention of that name hell trembles; Satan flees, sin is defeated and captives are delivered.
At the mention of that name fear gives way to peace, hopelessness is swallowed up in victory, the lost are found, the blind see, and the dead live.
Thank God for that lovely name! Jesus bridges the gap between God and man, Heaven and Hell, and sin and salvation.
Many have shared that name, but there is only one Jesus Christ, and He is KIng of Kings and Lord of Lords, alone, forever.
“There's a name above all others, — Wonderful to hear, bringing hope and cheer. — It's the lovely name of Jesus, — Evermore the same, what a lovely name.
“What a lovely name, the name of Jesus. — Reaching higher far, than the brightest star. — Sweeter than the songs they sing in heaven. — Let the world proclaim, what a lovely name.”
