Don’t Worry

In Luke 12 Jesus tells His disciples that they don’t need to be eaten up with worries and fears. They are children of the King and He will see to their needs.

These encouraging words are for believers today as well.

He points out God's gracious provision for the birds and that we are of more value to Him., Luke 12:22-24.

Then, in Luke 12:29-31 He tells us that the secret to having our needs met is to live for the Lord and love God.

Luke 12:32  Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

We all have needs, and we have them all the time, and God is aware of every one of them. Trust Him.

“Why should I feel discouraged?  — Why should the shadows come?  —. Why should my heart be lonely. — And long for heav’n and home?  —. When Jesus is my portion —. My constant friend is He. —  His eye is on the sparrow. —  And I know He watches me.

“I sing because I am happy. —I sing because I am free.— His eye is on the sparrow. —And I know He watches me.

"Let not your heart be troubled"  —. His tender words I hear. — And resting on His goodness. —  I lose my doubt and fear.—. Though by His path He leadeth. —  But one step I may see.—. His eye is on the sparrow. — And I know He watches me.”
