How Great Thou Art

Isaiah 40:28-29 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

[29] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

There has never been a time when God wasn’t, and there will never be a time when He isn’t.

God depends upon no one. He exists within Himself, by Himself and for Himself.

Our God made everything out of nothing. He has the power to create worlds with just His Word.

He doesn’t faint or grow weary.

That is the God we serve, and that is the God who takes our part through the tumultuous ways of life.

“O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, — Consider all the works Thy hands have made; — I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, — Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

“Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, — How great Thou art! How great Thou art! — Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee, — How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

“When through the woods, and forest glades I wander, — And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. — When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur — And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

“And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing; — Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; — That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, — He bled and died to take away my sin.

“When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation, — and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. — Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, — And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"
