They That Wait Upon The Lord

God shares His power, strength, and help with all those who depend on Him. What an encouragement that should be to the people of God today.

Isaiah 40:29-31 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the strongest of humans is prone to weakness and failure.

[30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But when we look to the Lord in prayer —  in His Word, in waiting before Him for guidance and help —  He will enable us to run our race without growing weary.

[31] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

“Teach me Lord to wait down on my knees — Till in Your own good time You answer my pleas. — Teach me not to rely on what others do — But to wait in prayer for an answer from You

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength — They shall mount up with wings as eagles. — They shall run and not be weary — They shall walk and not faint — Teach me Lord, teach me Lord to wait

“Teach me Lord to wait while hearts are aflame — Let me humble my pride and call on Your name. — Keep my faith renewed, my eyes on Thee — Let me be on this earth what you want me to be.

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength — They shall mount up with wings as eagles. — They shall run and not be weary — They shall walk and not faint — Teach me Lord, teach me Lord to wait.”
