Teach Me, Lord To Wait

Regardless of how well we may have handled situations in the past, there is always the possibility that we will grow weak under the various loads of life.

When we rest in God’s unfailing strength, we will have our own strength renewed out of His abundant, unending recourses.

When we learn to hope in the Lord — to wait on the Lord — He has a way of helping us break free from the things that bind us.

So, keep on praying, even when it appears that He isn’t hearing.

Keep on going to church, even when it seems nothing much is happening.

Keep on witnessing even when no one gets saved.

Keep on living for Jesus, day in and day out, even when others around you fall away.

In His time, He will bless you and reward you for being faithful during the routine times of life.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Teach me, Lord to wait.

Teach me, Lord, to wait down on my knees  —   Till in your own good time you answer my pleas  —   Teach me not to rely on what others do  —   But to wait in prayer for the answer from you.

Chorus
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;  —   They shall mount up with wings as eagles.  —   They shall run and not be weary;   —   They shall walk and not faint.  —   Teach me, Lord; teach me, Lord, to wait.

“Teach me, Lord, to wait while hearts are a flame.  —   Help me humble myself and call on Your name.  —   Keep my faith renewed,, my eyes on Thee.  —   Help me be on this earth what You want me to be.”
