Count Your Many Blessings

Ephesians 1:3   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

The real blessings of the Lord are not always material or physical. They are spiritual in nature, and will never be taken away from us.

When everything is gone, has broken down or has been spent, believers will still possess the best of God blessings.

Jesus loved us though He knew all about us, Rom. 8:28-31. What a blessing.

The Father brought us into His family and made us His child, Rom. 8:17. What a blessing.

The Father is pleased with us, because we wear the righteousness of Christ, Eph. 2:13. What a blessing.

We have been forgiven of all our sins.1 John 1:7 What a blessing.

We have a home in glory land,1 Pet. 1:4. What a blessing.

Count Your Many Blessings.

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,  —  When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,    —    Count your many blessings, name them one by one,    —    And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Chorus:

Count your blessings, name them one by one,  —  Count your blessings, see what God has done.    —    Count your blessings, name them one by one;    —    Count your many blessings, see what God has done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?    —    Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?    —    Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,    —    And you will keep singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,  —  Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;    —   Count your many blessings money cannot buy     —    Your reward in heaven nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,    —    Do not be discouraged, God is over all;    —    Count your many blessings, angels will attend,    —    Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
