Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
How many times do we make the best of plans and think we have life under control, then wham!
Our perfect plans scramble by the unexpected, and we find our only hope is to lean on Jesus.
As the years pass, I find myself leaning more and more on the Lord.
Learning To Lean
______________________________
Sad and broken hearted, at an alter I knelt, — I found peace that was so serene; — And all that He asked was a childlike trust — And a heart that is learning to lean.
CHORUS:
Learning to lean, learning to lean, — I’m learning to lean on Jesus; — Finding more power than I'd ever dreamed, — I'm learning to lean on Jesus.
The joy I can't explain fills my heart — Since the day I made Jesus my King — His blessed Holy Spirit is leading my way — He's teaching and I'm learning to lean.
There's glorious vict'ry each day now for me, — Since I found His peace so serene. — He helps me with each task, if only I'll ask; — Ev'ry day now I'm learning to lean.
