Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
[5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
We did’t love Jesus or want Him, but He loved us.
It’s His amazing grace that reached down into the depths of our dead condition
and saved us and changed us and identified us with Jesus Christ.
We must humbly acknowledge with the Apostle Paul, “But by the grace of
God I am what I am…” 1 Cor. 15:10.
Amazing Grace
______________________________
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound — That saved a wretch like me. — I once was lost, but now am found, — Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, — And grace my fears relieved. — How precious did that grace appear — The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares — I have already come; — 'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far — And grace will lead me home.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years, — Bright shining as the sun, — We’ve no less
days to sing God’s praise — Than when we’d first begun.
