John 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
Those who looked inside the tomb saw only the clothes the body wore, but there was no body.
No other suit of grave clothes in history has preached such a glorious, timeless message as did the grave clothes of Jesus.
I’m thankful that He lives and that He left perfect, indisputable evidence in His tomb.
Gone
___________
Mary came unto the tomb of Jesus. — The stone was moved, and He had gone away. — The angel said, "Fear not, I know Whom seek ye, — But He is risen.” This she heard Him say.
CHORUS:
Gone, the stone is rolled back. — Gone, the tomb is empty. — Gone, to sit at his Father's side. — He's Gone, over death triumphant. — Gone, sin is defeated. — Gone, He lives forevermore.
Oh come with me and see the risen Savior. — Who still can turn the dark of death to day; — Who calms the storms of doubt — And parts the ocean; — Who still can roll your heavy stones away. - - -
My friend if you don’t know the risen Savior, — I beg of you don’t wait too long to pray. — Don’t wait until His bride has been completed. — Don’t wait until you hear Him say, “Too late.” - - -
