Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Imagine the Jewel of Heaven coming down to this earth to a place of poverty and to die on a cruel cross for our sins.
Jesus was rich, but He became poor for you and me.
That’s “Amazing Grace”.

Amazing grace — How sweet the sound — That saved a wretch like me. — I once was lost, but now I'm found — Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, — And grace my fears relieved. — How precious did that grace appear — The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares — We have already come, — 'Twas grace has brought us safe thus far — And grace will lead us home.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years — Bright, shining as the sun, — We've no less days to sing God's praise — Than when we've first begun.
John Newton
