We need those today whose hearts are filled with the Word, that precious Word that brings conviction to our hearts and change to our lives.
Vacation Bible School taught me to hide God’s Word in my heart.
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
We aren’t perfect and we don’t live above sin, but God’s Word will lead us by the Holy Spirit to follow the righteous path as we often humbly read it.
When our passion and focus is the Word of God, we won’t want to please the flesh (willfully sin).
I want to be drawn closer to God. I want to spend more time in His precious Word, allow it to mold and transform my life. I want to hide it in my heart.

King Of Kings And Lord Of Lords
Evil times and evil people stride across the stage of history, but all these pass away.
When we turn to the last pages of the book of prophecy, we see One who still stands---Jesus the Lamb of God---King of kings and Lord of lords.
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
We serve a great God, a God who demands and deserves our praise.
If we can learn to take our eyes off the world and it’s evil and place them on God, He will receive the praise we have stored up in our hearts.
When we are aware of who He is, what He has done, and His mercy and grace in our lives, we can’t help but praise Him. Thank you, Lord.
Psalm 136:3. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Perfect Strength In Weakness
There’s nothing like a time of crisis to remind us how weak and frail we are. Three times the Apostle Paul asked God to remove the thorn in his flesh---whatever it was.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
God will give you grace to stand for Him, grace to live for Him, grace to die for Him. There will be grace---amazing, matchless, marvelous grace---for every bump in the road of life.
When the Lord says that His “strength is made perfect in weakness”, it simply means that God gets more glory from using the weak things of the world, not things of greatest strength and power.

The Tender Touch Of Jesus
A man with leprosy asked Jesus to heal him. Jesus could’ve easily spoken the word and he would’ve been healed of this contagious disease. But The Lord had compassion and tenderly touched him.
Mark 1:41-42 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
Aren’t you glad for the tender touch of Jesus? I remember the day He touched me. It was a touch unlike any other, the warmest embrace I have ever felt. He saw me as a precious soul He died to save.
Jesus looks upon this world today with a heart of compassion. He paid men’s debt of sin on the cross and wants them to believe in Him and be free of the bondage of sin.
There are none so wicked that Jesus doesn’t love or none so desperate that He can’t help. We serve a compassionate, loving Lord.
Shackled by a heavy burden---Neath a load of guilt and shame,
Then the hand of Jesus touched me---And now I am no longer the same.---Bill Gaither
