Reading the greatest book ever penned has been slow paced the last two years – or was it three? I relish my treasures slowly. So, this week I encountered Revelation. At one time this book intimidated me, but not anymore. I asked for understanding. It tells me that I’ll be blessed just for the reading.

What I’ve read so far is awesome. You see, the Alpha and Omega dictates a letter to the angel of each of seven local churches in Asia. God has been watching them, and now He is judging them. Each church (called Candlesticks) is commended for their good works, and then reprimanded for their defects. He asks for repentance and offers rewards or judgment.

Since God’s churches are made up of baptized believers, each member should display his or her spiritual fruits. I wonder how He sees my church. Can I make a difference?
