FREEDOM

This weekend, as we honor our veterans who made the supreme sacrifice for our freedom, we know that freedom is not free.
On January 6, 1941, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt addressed Congress on the state of the war in Europe. He said  he looked forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms: Freddom of speech, worship, want, and fear.
Romans Chapter Eight is the Christian's "Declaration of Freedom".
Freedom from Judgment -- No condemnation for those in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:1-4). Those who walk after the Spirit and not the flesh have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Freedom from Defeat (Rom. 8:5-17). As you yield your body to the Spirit, you overcome the struggle between the flesh and the Spirit.
Freedom from Discouragement (Rom. 8:18-30). The Christian knows that temporary suffering will one day give way to eternal glory.
Freedom from Fear (Rom 8:31-39) If God be for us, who can be against us.
2 Corinthians 3:17 . . . and where the Spirit of The Lord is, there is liberty.
