Home, Where I Belong

When we get saved we become citizens of Heaven. We live here, but Heaven is our home. Our hearts and desires are no longer of this world.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also
They say that heaven's pretty and livin' here is too
But if they said that I would have to chose between the two
I'd go home, Yes, I'd go home where i belong

While I'm here I'll serve Him gladly
And sing Him all these songs
I'm here, but not for long

When I'm feelin' lonely, when I'm feelin' blue
It's such a joy to know that I am only passing through
I'm headed home, I'm going home where I belong

One day I'll be sleepin' when death knocks at my door
And I'll awake to find that I'm not homesick anymore
I'll be home, where I belong
