Life And Death
Etched on a stone in a cemetery:
Here lies Joyce; She'd rather not, but she had no choice.
Life is as temporary as the morning fog (James 4:14).
Born again believers who are alive when Jesus comes for His saints will never taste death.
1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 For The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet The Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with The Lord.
Are you listening for the shout and the trumpet? Are you watching the clouds? When graves of the saints burst open, will you be shocked or will you shout "Glory"?
If I'm living above grave-dirt, "I'll Fly Away" with the resurrected saints.
I want to be found watching, waiting, and longing for Jesus. How about you? Don't be left behind. Trust in Jesus.
