Christians have a say in what they allow in their lives.
Galatians 5:16,17 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
The Apostle Paul had that problem and so do we. (Rom. 7:15-25).
The flesh tries to hinder prayer, study, witness, faithfulness and obedience. We aren't perfect. When we slip into the flesh, the Lord Jesus is waiting with grace and outstretched arms to forgive and forget when we confess. We need to walk in the Spirit every day. It's submitting to God.
Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
