I think real revival, when it comes, will make the church look more like the New Testament model. It will empower us for God’s work. It will compel us to reach the lost, stir us to worship the Lord and instruct us in holiness.
I don’t think real revival will be about counting “nickels and noses” or about emotionalism. I think real revival will cause us to fall in love with Jesus once again. Real revival looks like Romans 13:13-14 in action.
Romans 13:13-14 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.
If real revival came, would everyone embrace it? No. Many would leave the church because they like things the way they were. Some are unwilling to change.
Is real revival possible? Yes, but It will be more likely when we submit to God’s roadmap and prepare the way for Him to come to our hearts in power and glory.
