The songwriter William Cowper penned the following words:
God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea, And rides upon the storm.
Deep in unfathomable mines Of never failing skill,
He treasures up his bright designs, And works his sovereign will.
The sooner believers quit trying to figure God out, the sooner they can submit to His will. Simple faith reveals the glory of God in the unseen and impossible as we gaze in awe at His sovereignty.
