When I Survey The Wondrous Cross

The day the King was crucified was an infamous day in the annals of history.
Sin was defeated—the power of Satan forever broken—and death was invaded by the Prince of Life.

It was infamous because Jesus came unto His own, and His own received Him not.

It was infamous because the Creator was put to death by His creatures.

On the cross the Lord Jesus brought salvation and life to all who will believe.

We can only come into the presence of God by the blood of Christ—blood shed on the cross—blood that makes men and women worthy to go to Heaven,

1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

It was a glorious  day when I understood that I was a sinner, and Jesus died for me, and I responded to His call by faith and was saved by His grace—Redeemed.
